Stasa Zurovac

Als Autor, Choreograph und Lehrer beschäftige ich mich mit Forschungsarbeit im Bereich des zeitgenössischen Tanzes, des Theaters und des experimentellen Tanztheaters, unterrichte Tanztheater in allen seinen Segmenten und schaffe verschiedene Arten von Workshops und Bildungsinhalten, die mit der Tanzkunst verbunden sind. Im Moment bereite ich ein abendfüllendes Projekt "Lulu" vor - ein Tanz-Theater-Musik-Monodrama, inspiriert von Frank Wedekinds Lulu-Stücken Der Erdgeist und Die Büchse der Pandora, zur Musik von Alexander Balanescu. Aufgeführt wird das Stück von der brasilianischen Tanzkünstlerin und Performerin, ehemaligen Vortänzerin des Staatstheaters Darmstadt und des Musiktheaters Linz, Andressa Miyazato und dem Geigenvirtuosen und Gründer des weltberühmten Balanescu Quartetts, Alexander Balanescu.

Ich bin ein freischaffender Künstler, der in Linz lebt und arbeitet.

Über Stasa:

Im Jahr 1989 wurde ich Mitglied des Balletts des Kroatischen Nationaltheaters in Zagreb, wo ich zum führenden Solisten wurde. Ich habe mit vielen weltberühmten Choreographen zusammengearbeitet: Milko Sparemblek, Martino Müller, Ted Brandsen, Vasco Wellenkamp, Gagik Ismailian, Peter Breuer, Dinko Bogdanic, Patrick Delcroix und vielen anderen.

Ich tanzte Hauptrollen in den folgenden Balletten und Tanzstücken: Der Nussknacker, Dornröschen, Coppélia, Der wunderbare Mandarin, Faust, Triunfo de Aphrodite, Cantata 66, Dear Life und An Unknown Adventure und andere. Als Tänzer bin ich in Portugal, Italien, den Niederlanden, Deutschland, Frankreich, Großbritannien, der Tschechischen Republik, Ungarn, Österreich, Slowenien, Mazedonien, der Türkei, den USA, Brasilien und China aufgetreten. Ich war Gasttänzer und Choreograf an der Companhia Portuguesa de Bailado Contemporâneo in Lissabon.

1996 begann ich, als Choreograph zu arbeiten und eigene Werke zu kreieren. Von 2003 bis 2012 war ich künstlerischer Leiter des Balletts des Kroatischen Nationaltheaters Ivan.pl. Zajc in Rijeka, Kroatien. In der Spielzeit 2018/19 habe ich als Ballettmeister am Landestheater/Musiktheater Linz gearbeitet.

In den letzten zwei Jahrzehnten habe ich abendfüllende Tanz- und Theaterproduktionen u.a. für das Nationale Opern- und Balletttheater in Ljubljana, das Nationaltheater in Belgrad (Serbien), das Kroatische Nationaltheater in Split, das Kroatische Nationaltheater in Rijeka (Kroatien), das Serbische Nationaltheater in Novi Sad, das Slowenische Nationaltheater in Maribor, Ulysses Theater - Insel Brijuni, das Nationaltheater in Bitola (Mazedonien), die Nationale Oper und das Ballett in Skopje geschaffen.

At the moment, I am a freelance artist based and working in Linz.

About Stasa:

In 1989 I became a member of the Ballet of the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb, where I became a Leading Soloist. I have collaborated with many world-renowned choreographers: Milko Sparemblek, Martino Müller, Ted Brandsen, Vasco Wellenkamp, Gagik Ismailian, Peter Breuer, Dinko Bogdanic, Patrick Delcroix and many others.

I danced leading roles in the following ballets and dance pieces: The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Coppélia, The Miraculous Mandarin, Faust, Triunfo de Aphrodite, Cantata 66, Dear Life and An Unknown Adventure and others. As a dancer I have performed in Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Great Britain, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, Slovenia, Macedonia, Turkey, the USA, Brazil and China. I was a guest dancer and choreographer at the Companhia Portuguesa de Bailado Contemporâneo in Lisbon.

In 1996 I began to work as a choreographer and to create my own works. From 2003 to 2012 I was the Artistic Director of the Ballet of the Croatian National Theater Ivan.pl. Zajc in Rijeka, Croatia. Within the seasons 2018/19 I have worked as a Ballet Master at the Lanestheater/Musiktheater Linz.

In the last two decades I have created full-length dance and theater productions for, among others, for the National Opera and Ballet Theater in Ljubljana, the National Theater in Belgrade (Serbia), the Croatian National Theater in Split, the Croatian National Theater in Rijeka (Croatia), the Serbian National Theater in Novi Sad, the Slovenian National Theater in Maribor, Ulysses Theater – Brijuni Island, the National Theater in Bitola (Macedonia), the National Opera and Ballet in Skopje.

As author, choreographer and teacher, I am engaged in research work in the field of contemporary dance, theater and experimental dance theater, teaching dance theater in all its segments and creating various types of workshops and educational content related to dance art. At the moment, I am preparing a full evening project “Lulu” - a dance-theatre-music monodrama inspired by Frank Wedekind’s Lulu plays Der Erdgeist (The Earth Spirit) and Die Büchse der Pandora (Pandora's Box), to the music of Alexander Balanescu. The piece will be performed by Brazilian dance artist and performer, former lead dancer of Staatstheater Darmstadt and Musiktheater Linz, Andressa Miyazato and violin virtuoso and founder of world-famous Balanescu Quartet, Alexander Balanescu. I am a freelance artist based and working in Linz.
