Dolma Jover Agulló is a dancer, teacher, choreographer and doctoral student in Linz. She completed her Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees at Anton Bruckner Private University and earned a second Bachelor’s degree in Choreography and Interpretive Techniques at the Superior Conservatory of Dance of Valencia. She also earned a Grado Profesional de Danza in Contemporary Dance and a Grado Elemental in Classical and Spanish Dance. She is currently a member of the Spanish Dance Research Association D + I and the International Dance Council CID, Paris.
Agulló established her professional dance career through her work as a dancer in various European dance companies and collectives. She has performed her pieces at events such as Ars Electronica Festival 2013 Linz, Kinetica Art Fair 2014 London, Dans/Technologies/Interactivities Festival 2014 Bucharest, Sound ART Cologne 2014 and Zagreb Youth Theatre Croatia with Zagreb Dance Company, to name a few.
As a former dance researcher, she has also participated in the I International Encounter of Performance Research, Creation, Communication and Socialization of Dance Practices in Bilbao, Festi-Danza am Nationaltheater von San Salvador, Symposium Tanz und Migration Linz und im Choreographischen Zentrum San Sebastian de la Gomera. In 2015, she published her book Transcultural Body Dance Research.
She is currently working on a new artistic project called Cachucha – Not Just a Spanish Dance, which is related to her studies. In parallel, she leads dance workshops in Mexico, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Estonia, the Dominican Republic, Spain, Colombia and Austria.
