An Ashtanga Yoga Led Class where every movement is initiated by an inhale or an exhale. The soundful breath is intertwined with the dynamics of the moving body, cleansing the body and calming the mind, in the same time.
We’ll practice a selection of postures from the Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series, also called Yoga Chikitsa or Yoga for Health.
We’ll flow from one posture into another, developing strength and flexibility, simultaneously.
The class ends with a guided final relaxation, equally important as the other asanas.
This class is suitable for beginners, who would practice variations of the postures. Advanced practitioners are very welcomed to experience the benefits of the group practice.
The main focus is on the process of synchronising the breath with the intention of every movement and experience the flow of it.

Mihaela Kavdanska aka Mika, works as visual artist and media arts researcher since late ‘90s, being involved in multimedia projects with dance and performance since 2011.
Her interest in Hatha Yoga goes back to 1995, though the real encounter with Yoga happened when she discovered Ashtanga Yoga in 2005, thanks to her teacher Irene Zaroour.
Mika has been sharing Ashtanga Yoga led classes since 2013 with a wide range of practitioners at the Kunstuinversität, the International Graduates Club and Yoga Rendezvous Studio in Linz.
